GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY November 25th, 2009 His Excellency Most Reverend On November 25th, 2009, St. Catherine of Siena Foundation Board was honored to have Archbishop Vigneron give his blessing and participate in the Groundbreaking Ceremony. This private event took place on the building site, located on 28200 Napier Road in the city of Wixom. Michael Dornan and Tony Nowicki, officials from the city of Wixom, were able to attend this much anticipated event. St. Catherine of Siena will be constructed on a thirty-acre parcel of land located on the corner of Grand River Avenue and Napier Road (less than 2 miles from Catholic Central High School). The 137,100 ft2 state of the art facility will be capable of accommodating up to 700 students. The Academy will include classrooms, science labs, computer labs, gymnasium with second story running track, sports fields and 400-seat Chapel at the center of the building. The Foundation Board is very excited about the future of the Academy. |
