Dress Code
A young woman’s overall appearance reflects her attitude toward herself and her school.
Reasonable care and neatness in regard to dress are expected of all students at school and at all school activities. The following guidelines must be adhered to during the school day unless directed otherwise by the administration.
Outdoor wear will not be worn indoors during the school day.
Uniform
The uniform consists of:
• Short- or long-sleeved, banded white polo shirt with SCA crest
• V-neck purple pullover sweater with SCA crest
• Kilt skirt with SCA logo
• White or black knee socks
• White or black tights
• Purple gym shirts
• Black gym shorts
All of the above, with the exception of tights, must be purchased at Educational Outfitters. Contact the School Office for information.
Shoes
Dress shoes are required and must be black and closed in with heels no higher than an inch. They must have no markings, designs, or other colors. Athletic style shoes are not acceptable. Gym shoes may not be black-soled.
Jewelry and Accessories
Students may wear simple earrings, watches, and simple bracelets. Anything too extreme may be judged so by faculty members and must subsequently be removed immediately.
No hats, caps, or other kinds of head gear may be worn on campus during school hours.
Makeup/Hair
Makeup is allowed to enhance one’s beauty, but not to mask it. Extreme makeup is prohibited. Extreme hairstyles, streaked hair, and piercings or tattoos are absolutely prohibited as well.
