Celebrating Career Day at St. Catherine Academy! From judges to engineers, each speaker offered unique insights, inspiring students to carve their own paths. Special highlights included our alumnae returning to share their wisdom, like Valerie Check (Class of 2022), who delivered a keynote on navigating college with care, presence, and purpose, and Taylor Ford (Class of 2015) for her engaging session, emphasizing the importance of staying true to one's passion.

Today, our halls were abuzz with excitement as we welcomed an array of inspiring professionals for Career Day. Our students had the invaluable opportunity to engage with speakers representing diverse career paths, igniting sparks of curiosity and ambition.

We extend our gratitude to all our guest speakers who generously shared their time, expertise, and wisdom with our students, offering a glimpse into the multifaceted world of work. From judges to engineers, educators to healthcare professionals, each speaker brought a unique perspective and invaluable insights to the table.

  • The Honorable Cheryl A. Matthews: With a distinguished career spanning years of service within the judicial system, Judge Matthews enlightened us on the nuances of the legal profession and her journey serving the community.
  • Sumer Petrous: As a seasoned Mechanical Engineer, Mrs. Petrous provided invaluable insights into the automotive industry, inspiring students with her career trajectory and achievements.
  • Michelle Randall: Miss Randall, a dedicated CPA and professor, offered profound insights into the world of accounting and academia, motivating students to pursue excellence in their chosen fields.
  • Dr. Molly Hopper: Dr. Hopper's expertise in research science illuminated the realm of scientific discovery, inspiring students to explore the boundless possibilities within the field.

  • Taylor Ford (Class of 2015): Miss Ford, an esteemed alumna and Early Childhood Educator, shared invaluable insights into teaching and the importance of presence in college life.
  • Brooke Sheena Sagherian: Mrs. Sagherian's expertise as a Speech and Language Pathologist showcased the impact of communication in healthcare and education.
  • Rita Foumia: Miss Foumia's leadership in Human Resources and Information Technology exemplified the intersection of business and technology in the modern workplace.
  • Lisa Paulas: Miss Paulas' dedication to office administration and community service underscored the importance of leadership and service in professional endeavors.
  • Rasha Kesto (PA): Mrs. Kesto's role as a Physician's Assistant highlighted the vital contributions of healthcare professionals in surgical settings.

A special shoutout goes to our alumna, Valerie Check (Class of 2022), for her inspiring keynote address, encouraging students to choose presence in college and embrace the journey of higher education. Her reminder to remain dedicated to faith and purpose struck a chord with all in attendance, inspiring us to approach our future endeavors with intention and integrity.

We are also grateful to Taylor Ford (Class of 2015) for her engaging session as one of our guest speakers, sharing her experiences as an Early Childhood Educator and emphasizing the importance of staying true to one's passion. Thank you for sharing and supporting the Sisterhood at SCA.
