Four Years That Shape a Lifetime
We help faith-filled young women form hearts to serve and minds to change the world.
Students are drawn to SCA for more than simply academic excellence. You’ll find SCA to be a school like no other. Every student is cherished as a beloved, irreplaceable daughter of God. All are given the confidence to reach higher and develop their unique God-given gifts – in the classroom, on the playing field, in student government, as servant leaders, and beyond. In every arena, our students are encouraged to reach higher, respond more fully, and lead lives of greater virtue, entering the world as compassionate, courageous, and confident women in whatever field they are called.
Rooted in excellence, our students are prepared for college and beyond.
Rooted in leadership, our students are prepared to better the world.
Rooted in love, our students find belonging, friendship, and fun.
Rooted in our faith, our students discover their authentic selves.
A Community Where Girls Thrive
The Block Scheduling Advantage
St. Catherine of Siena Academy follows a collegiate block schedule. Students are enrolled in four 80-minute classes each day Semester I, followed by four 80-minute classes Semester II. This provides students the opportunity to complete eight (8) credit hours each academic year. At SCA, all students are required to complete academic credits and service hours to graduate.
- 8 credit hours each academic year.
- Students focus on 4 courses per semester
- 1 credit courses are semester-long (August to December and January to May)
- 0.5 credit elective courses last 9 weeks
- Increased elective opportunities
- Deeper learning
- Fewer courses = focus-driven approach
- Easier access to dual-enrollment courses
- Increased internship opportunities
A Vibrant Student Life
Our students play an integral role in the life of the school community — and all students have an opportunity to lead. Our smaller class sizes provide opportunities for leadership within the classroom and in co-curricular activities including athletics, drama, robotics, and clubs. As an all-girls’ school, a girl occupies every role. She has a wealth of avenues for self-discovery and development, and a school full of role models.
