Investing in Our Campus
Preparing for Another Wonderful School Year
While our students enjoyed a well-earned summer break, there was plenty happening around St. Catherine of Siena Academy. Our staff and maintenance teams spent the summer caring for our campus, making improvements, and preparing the school for another year of learning, growing, and becoming more.
This summer's projects included repairs to portions of the parking lot, new concrete sidewalks, freshly painted classrooms, and professionally cleaned carpets. We also began a new partnership with Toth's Lawn and Landscaping to provide ongoing care for our landscaping, flower beds, and green spaces throughout the year.
Some improvements are about safety and security. Others are about maintaining our facilities and caring for the spaces our students use every day. And some are simply about making SCA a beautiful place for her to learn and spend her days. Together, these investments help ensure our campus remains safe, welcoming, and well cared for.
As part of our continued commitment to campus safety, we also upgraded the exterior glass on our doors and windows with enhanced security glazing. This is one more layer in the many proactive measures we take to provide a secure learning environment for our students and staff.
We are also grateful for the continued partnership of the Wixom Police Department. Officers regularly provide an additional presence during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, and members of the department periodically walk through our building so they are familiar with our campus and our school community. Their ongoing partnership is an important part of our approach to safety.
Once the school year begins, our commitment to safety continues beyond the school day, with security measures in place during after-school hours and activities.
Every campus improvement represents a decision to care well for the resources entrusted to St. Catherine Academy. We are thoughtful about where and how we invest, with a focus on what best serves our students, our faculty, and our school community.
We are grateful to the families, benefactors, and supporters whose generosity makes these investments possible. Because of that support, we can continue caring for our campus today while preparing it to serve the young women of St. Catherine Academy for years to come.
Welcome back, STARS. We are ready for another wonderful year!
