March for Life 2026
Faith in Action: SCA Students at the 2026 March for Life
In late January, more than 40 students from St. Catherine of Siena Academy packed their bags, boarded a bus, and headed to Washington, D.C. for an experience that was meaningful, joy-filled, and unmistakably SCA: the 2026 National March for Life.
Sponsored by our Gianna Molla Society, SCA’s pro-life club, the trip brought together students from all grade levels who chose to spend a winter weekend standing up for life .
Before departing on Thursday, January 22, our students received a special blessing at Mass from our chaplain, Fr. Pat Bruen. As a school community, we lifted them in prayer - for safe travels, good health, and open hearts - as they set out to witness something bigger than themselves.

A Day Filled with Joy, Music, and Meaning
On Friday, January 23, the students joined thousands of young people from across the country at the National March for Life Rally & Concert. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the atmosphere was energetic and uplifting, featuring music by Sanctus Real, the Friends of Club 21 Choir, and powerful pro-life speakers who reminded the crowd that hope is alive and that young voices matter.
Following the rally, the girls stepped into the heart of the day, the March for Life itself. Peaceful, vibrant, and joy-filled, the March is the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. Laughter, prayer, singing, signs, and smiles filled the streets of Washington as our students walked alongside families, religious sisters, clergy, and fellow students from across the nation.
If the photos tell the story, it’s this: confidence, joy, sisterhood, and faith in action.

Where Girls Lead, Love Life, and Seek Truth
Experiences like the March for Life reflect who we are at St. Catherine of Siena Academy. As an all-girls Catholic high school, we believe deeply in forming young women who lead with courage, love life in all its stages, and seek truth with open hearts and thoughtful minds.
Through the Gianna Molla Society, students don’t just learn about the dignity of life — they live it. Club members participate in the 40 Days for Life campaign, lead a weekly pro-life rosary, plan school-wide events, volunteer at pregnancy counseling centers, and coordinate our annual Pro-Life Day during St. Catherine of Siena Week. The March for Life is a natural extension of that everyday commitment.
One of the most meaningful parts of this experience was hearing our students reflect on what the March for Life meant to them. For Ava, a senior and President of the Gianna Molla Society, this year’s March carried special significance.

“This year I had the privilege of attending my fifth March for Life — and my fourth with SCA. This one felt different, because it was my last March with my SCA family. As a senior and President of the Gianna Molla Pro-Life Club, being there with my best friends and fellow club members was truly the highlight of my year and a memory I will cherish forever.
This year’s theme, Life is a Gift, really stayed with me. So often, especially with everything going on in today’s world, we forget to slow down and appreciate the gift of life that has been entrusted to us by our Creator. I loved that the March for Life takes place during the liturgical season of Ordinary Time — a reminder to pause, reflect, and recognize just how extraordinary this gift truly is.”
We are very grateful for our chaperones! Trips like this don’t happen without incredible adults walking alongside our students. We are grateful to our faculty chaperones for caring for their small groups, guiding conversations, keeping everyone safe, and making sure each student felt supported every step of the way.
Transportation for the trip was provided by Corporate Travel Services, allowing our students to travel together safely and comfortably.
