Our Mission Starts Before High School
At St. Catherine of Siena Academy, our mission is to educate young women to develop their feminine genius in the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. This summer, we had the opportunity to extend that mission beyond our high school students through a new offering for rising 7th- and 8th-grade girls.
St. Catherine of Siena Academy has had a long tradition welcoming younger students to campus through summer opportunities in the arts, athletics, robotics, and other activities. This summer, Ashley Moore, our Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator, added something different: Defining Dignity, a seven-week Endow small-group study focused on faith, friendship, and the God-given dignity of every person.
The response was wonderful! Each week, girls from different schools and backgrounds came together at SCA to learn, share, pray, and build friendships. The experience gave them an opportunity to talk about their faith and who they are as young women, while experiencing the welcoming community that is such an important part of life at St. Catherine of Siena Academy.

For Ashley, Defining Dignity was a natural way to bring SCA's mission to girls who are just beginning to discover their own gifts, purpose, and identity.
“Defining Dignity isn't just about a study or a workbook; instead, it's about young women encountering the truth of who God created them to be. They learn to treat themselves and others with dignity and purpose.”
The success of the summer series was a wonderful addition to the ways St. Catherine of Siena Academy connects with younger students in our community. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities for girls to experience faith, friendship, and the joy of learning together.
