Ready for College-Level Learning

At St. Catherine of Siena Academy, our college preparatory program challenges students with rigorous coursework, including Advanced Placement courses that give them the opportunity to take on college-level material while still in high school.

This year, 25 SCA students from the Classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028 earned AP Scholar recognition from the College Board. We are proud of their hard work and commitment to challenging themselves academically.

AP Experience in the Classroom

Our teachers bring their own AP experience back to the classroom. This summer, Ms. Brandt and Mr. Nickel joined more than 36,000 educators who scored AP Exams during the June 2026 AP Reading. Ms. Brandt scored Chemistry exams, while Mr. Nickel evaluated free response questions for AP Calculus AB.

Serving as AP Readers gives our teachers firsthand experience with the expectations and standards used to evaluate college-level work.

At SCA, AP courses are one part of a college preparatory curriculum designed to challenge our students and prepare them for the academic expectations ahead.
