SCA Celebrates Student Achievement and Catholic School Community at Prep Bowl LIV
St. Catherine of Siena Academy joined Catholic schools from across the Detroit area at CHSL Prep Bowl LIV at Ford Field on Saturday, October 24. The annual event brought students, families, educators, and fans together to celebrate Catholic school athletics and recognize achievement in Catholic education.

Athletics and Opportunity for SCA Girls
St. Catherine of Siena Academy is proud to be part of the Catholic High School League, a strong network of Catholic schools in the Detroit area. Athletics is an important part of student life at SCA, with opportunities for girls to compete, try new sports, develop their skills, and learn what it means to be part of a team.
As a smaller school, SCA encourages girls to get involved and take advantage of the opportunities available to them. Among the Class of 2026, 77% of students participated in athletics, 51% played multiple sports, and 24 students participated in athletics all four years of high school.
These numbers reflect the role athletics can play throughout a girl's time at SCA, from discovering a new sport to developing as a teammate and leader.
At this year's Prep Bowl, Ashley Moore, Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator, and Holly Lalicata, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, welcomed younger students arriving to cheer on the football teams. Their participation was another opportunity for SCA to connect with students from other schools and be part of the Catholic school community.

Congratulations to our All-Scholastic honorees and faculty members recognized for their years of service to Catholic education!
