Mike Dewan was one of the visionary leaders behind the founding of St. Catherine of Siena Academy, serving alongside Fr. Elmer and Ed Turek as part of the original team that brought the school’s concept to life. With a primary focus on construction, Mike oversaw the building of the school, beginning in 2004. He served on the Foundation Board until 2018, consistently advocating for SCA and its students.

Prior to SCA, Mike was Project Director for the construction of Catholic Central’s new campus in Novi from 2003–2005 and Board Chair and Director of Construction for St. Mary’s Parish from 1999–2003. Mary Dewan’s encouragement and support were essential during the school’s earliest years, providing strength and advocacy as the vision for an all-girls Catholic high school took shape. Together, the Dewans exemplify faith, service, integrity, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on the Academy’s foundation.
