St. Catherine of Siena Academy utilizes an online program called SCOIR (pronounced “score”) as a college and career preparatory tool for STARS and their families. SCOIR empowers students to discover, connect, and apply to college. SCOIR is a tool used to support college and career planning. Students are able to research and compare colleges, build a resume, take career interest inventory, view and sign up for college representative visits to SCA. Students will complete the career interest inventory in spring of their Freshman year.

How to search for colleges using SCOIR | A video tutorial

To get started…

1. Complete the ‘YouScience Assessment.’ You can access this under “My Profile” in your account. It’s a series of games that help identify interests, aptitudes, careers, and majors.
2. Explore different colleges you are interested in by using the search tool. You can do virtual campus tours and see testimonials from students on campus.
3. Follow schools you are interested in applying to!
